Responsibilities

As a Permanent Logistics Manager, you will be tasked with the following responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all logistics operations, including inventory control and supply chain management.
• Develop and implement effective logistics strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Manage relationships with transportation providers and ensure optimal carrier performance.
• Utilize Oracle TMS and other logistics software to manage and streamline operations.
• Monitor and control freight budget, invoicing, and cost trends.
• Ensure compliance with regulations regarding Hazmat Shipments and hazardous materials.
• Manage shipping operations to Hawaii and Puerto Rico.
• Continuously evaluate and improve logistics operations to meet the changing needs of the company.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Logistics Manager role should possess the following qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics operations and supply chain management.
• Proven experience in inventory control and cost reduction.
• Extensive knowledge of Oracle TMS and other TMS software.
• Strong experience in managing transportation providers and evaluating carrier performance.
• Solid understanding of freight budgeting, invoicing, and cost trends.
• Familiarity with regulations regarding Hazmat Shipments and hazardous materials.
• Experience with Hawaii and Puerto Rico shipping operations.
• Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.
• Strong leadership abilities and the capacity to manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
