A confidential AM Law 100 law firm is seeking a junior associate attorney to join its employment and labor practice in California. This litigation-focused role supports sophisticated employer-side matters for multinational and high-growth companies, with regular exposure to cross-border employment issues that arise in the modern global workplace.

THE ROLE

• Manage and support employment litigation, including wage and hour, discrimination, and related workplace disputes
• Draft and respond to pleadings; prepare written discovery and document productions
• Support deposition preparation and takeaways; assist with hearing and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and draft memoranda and motion briefs
• Advise on U.S. and cross-border employment questions that arise from multinational operations and workforce changes
• Support workplace investigations and day-to-day employment counseling as needed

LOCATION, SCHEDULE AND COMPENSATION

Schedule

Hybrid, in office 3 days per week

Compensation

Base salary: $225,000

REQUIREMENTS

• 1 to 3 years of employment litigation experience
• Background in international employment law, including cross-border employment issues
• Active admission to the State Bar of California and in good standing
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
• Strong academic credentials and excellent writing, analytical, and communication skills

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Experience from a large or highly structured law firm employment practice
• Experience advising multinational employers on U.S. and cross-border employment matters
