Program Director

Little Star Preschool Too is looking for a dedicated, enthusiastic, and community-focused Program Director to join our team of passionate educators working with children ages 2 to 5 years and their families.

Our amazing staff works together to develop and implement a high-quality, developmentally appropriate program that encourages curiosity, confidence, and a love for learning. We strive to create and maintain a warm, safe, and nurturing environment that promotes play, exploration, communication, and lots of fun!

We are seeking an energetic and compassionate leader who is flexible and able to adapt to the daily needs of a busy preschool. Our school believes that children are valuable members of society, that communication is key, and that community and teamwork truly make the dream work!

Salary

Starting at $95,000–$110,000 per year, based on education and experience.

Retention Bonus

• $5,000 retention bonus awarded on each work anniversary for the first three years of employment (up to $15,000 total), contingent upon successful completion of each year of service and continued employment in good standing.

Schedule

• Full-time; Monday through Friday on site
• 8-hour shift

Qualifications

• Child Development Program Director Permit
• Site Supervisor Permit
• Minimum of 2 years of Preschool Director experience
• 2+ years of preschool teaching experience preferred
• Ability to make quick and sound decisions
• Calm, patient, and friendly demeanor with a strong sense of responsibility
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Reliable, organized, detail-oriented, and able to multitask while working independently
• Excellent computer, verbal, and written communication skills
• Outstanding interpersonal, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm as a team player

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership to manage staff and maintain positive employer/employee relationships
• Promote teamwork, motivate staff, and help resolve conflicts
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff
• Build strong relationships with children and families through daily communication and interactions
• Provide leadership in developing a creative, high-quality curriculum
• Conduct parent tours, manage enrollment for new and returning families, and oversee the waitlist
• Coordinate and plan school events, fundraisers, and field trips
• Oversee daily staffing schedules
• Manage staff and children's files
• Assist in classrooms and substitute as needed
• Oversee parent-teacher conferences and student progress reports in collaboration with teachers
• Monitor all aspects of the school's daily operations and administration
• Implement and uphold the school's philosophy
• Ensure compliance with Title 22 licensing regulations and promptly correct any deficiencies
• Maintain a strong working relationship and open communication with the owners
