Chef de Cuisine Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in high-end kitchens, with significant Michelin-starred experience required
• Prior experience as Chef de Cuisine, Head Chef, or Senior Sous Chef with full kitchen leadership responsibility
• Proven ability to manage, develop, and inspire large kitchen teams toward consistent excellence
• Strong organizational skills across inventory, scheduling, food cost, and multi-station operations
• Technical mastery of whole animal butchery, heritage proteins, and refined cooking techniques
• Experience contributing to menu development, seasonal transitions, and R&D processes
• Strong communication skills across kitchen and front-of-house teams
• Professional certifications (Food Handler’s Manager Certification is a plus)
• Long-term commitment and desire to grow with the restaurant

Chef de Cuisine Preferred Background & Skills

• Michelin-starred or Michelin-level kitchen leadership experience
• Strong creative instincts and curiosity in menu development and technique exploration
• Experience managing meat programs, cellar systems, or complex inventory operations
• Demonstrated ability to maintain consistency and high standards in a tasting menu environment
• Strong mentorship skills with a focus on team development and culture building
• Experience collaborating closely with chef leadership teams
• Proven ability to run smooth, high-standard dinner services and ensure flawless execution
• Strong vendor and producer relationship management experience
• Commitment to upholding and embodying the culture and standards of a Michelin-caliber kitchen
