Information Security Engineer Consultant (Cisco Secure Web Appliance)

Duration: 3-4 Month contract to start (August - November)

About the Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer to support a high-impact enterprise migration from a legacy Broadcom/Blue Coat proxy environment to Cisco Secure Web Appliance (SWA). This is a hands-on implementation role focused on deploying, configuring, testing, and migrating secure web proxy services within a large enterprise environment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong Cisco Secure Web Appliance experience who enjoys working on infrastructure modernization and enterprise security initiatives.

Ideal Background

We're looking for engineers who have supported enterprise security infrastructure and have hands-on experience implementing secure web gateway technologies. Candidates with backgrounds in Network Security, Security Infrastructure, Secure Web Gateway, Proxy Engineering, or Perimeter Security will be especially successful in this role.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the implementation and configuration of Cisco Secure Web Appliance (SWA)
• Support migration activities from Broadcom/Blue Coat ProxySG to Cisco SWA
• Build and configure web proxy security policies, URL filtering, and access controls
• Configure and support SSL/TLS inspection and web traffic management
• Integrate authentication with Active Directory, LDAP, or other identity providers
• Perform testing, validation, and troubleshooting throughout the migration lifecycle
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams to ensure a smooth production deployment
• Create technical documentation and implementation guides
• Resolve complex networking and security issues during deployment and cutover activities

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Network Security, or Security Infrastructure Engineering
• Hands-on experience implementing Cisco Secure Web Appliance (WSA/SWA) in an enterprise environment
• Experience deploying, configuring, and supporting secure web proxy technologies
• Strong understanding of:
• Web proxy architecture
• URL filtering
• SSL/TLS inspection and decryption
• HTTP/HTTPS traffic
• Authentication and access control
• Enterprise web security best practices
• Experience troubleshooting complex networking and security issues
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Experience working in large, enterprise environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience migrating from Broadcom, Blue Coat ProxySG, Symantec ProxySG, or similar web proxy platforms
• Experience with enterprise proxy policy migration and optimization
• Familiarity with Cisco networking and security technologies
• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure modernization or migration projects
