Administrative Assistant Bookkeeper

Our client is seeking a professional for a Administrative Assistant Bookkeeper position in Oak Brook, IL. The ideal candidate will possess over three years of bookkeeping experience, with great interpersonal skills. This role involves managing all aspects of the accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. Other functions include reconciliation of bank accounts, creating journal entries, and GL maintenance.

Rate: $55k-$57k

Responsibilities

Record and organize bills from vendors

Update and maintain accounting records

Complete client invoicing

Process and enter vendor invoices

Process payments including cash, checks, or credit cards

Input entries into proper accounts

Assist in the resolution of billing discrepancies

Review and post daily cash deposit batches

Manage inventory of products and supplies

Perform credit card reconciliations

Reconcile bank accounts

Assist with the collection of past due accounts

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree is preferred

Three plus years of experience in a bookkeeping role

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Ability to prioritize and organize tasks effectively

Strong customer service skills

Ability to work in a face-paced environment
