Interim Financial Controller

Prospera Executive are currently supporting a private equity-backed services business in the Chicago area that is looking to appoint an experienced Interim Controller for an immediate assignment.

This is a hands-on leadership role, working closely with the executive team to provide financial oversight, strengthen reporting and support the business through an important phase of its growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day finance and accounting function.
• Oversee month-end close and financial reporting.
• Ensure robust financial controls and compliance.
• Manage cash flow, forecasting and working capital.
• Partner with the leadership team on operational and strategic initiatives.
• Support and develop the existing finance team.

We’re looking for someone who has

• Previous experience as a Controller or senior finance leader.
• Experience working within private equity-backed businesses.
• A hands-on approach and the ability to quickly establish credibility.
• Strong financial reporting, controls and operational finance experience.
• Availability to start at short notice.
