Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Position: EHS Project Manager

Duration: 12+ Months Contract

Location: Chicago, IL

Payrate Range: $50 - $55/hour on W2; (The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Job Description

Summary

Provide project management services to oversee multiple integration tasks in accordance with Global Facility standards. The contractor will act as the agency representative, coordinating efforts with site-level leadership and the integration team.

These tasks include developing a project plan, tracking costs, applying for applicable permits, collaborating with design firms when required, and coordinating work with the local team.

Key Tasks

1. Planning

Develop a comprehensive project plan in collaboration with local site teams and the integration team.

2. Design Coordination

Collaborate with engineering design firms to obtain stamped drawings and ensure designs meet Factory Mutual (FM) standards.

3. Permitting

Secure all necessary building and fire permits required for the project.

4. Testing and Abatement Coordination

Coordinate testing and abatement activities for demolition areas.

Ensure abatement is completed by Aerospace direct contractor.

5. Contractor Escorting

Ensure all contractors and subcontractors are escorted and adhere to site security and safety protocols.

Deliverables

• A detailed project plan and timeline.
• Regular progress reports to the integration team.
• Effective coordination and communication with all stakeholders.
• Final inspection and handover of each completed project.

Performance Standards

• All work must comply with Global Facility Standards.
• Timely completion of all tasks within the agreed-upon schedule.
• Adherence to Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) principles, with safety as the highest priority.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facility project management.
• Familiarity with building codes, permitting processes, and abatement procedures.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
