Auditor

We are looking for an experienced Auditor to support a Financial Services client in Los Angeles, California. This is a Contract position focused on executing audit testing across multiple operational and financial areas within a banking environment.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of audit methodology, risk analysis, and automated workpaper documentation while contributing to timely, well-supported audit results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct audit testing across accounts payable, human resources, investments, treasury, loan servicing, and fixed asset activity using a roll-forward approach.
• Prepare, organize, and maintain audit documentation within AuditBoard or a similar automated workpaper platform to support clear and complete testing records.
• Evaluate financial and operational processes to identify control issues, exceptions, and areas of potential risk.
• Analyze supporting documentation and transaction activity to validate completeness, accuracy, and compliance with internal standards.
• Coordinate with business and control owners to obtain records, clarify process details, and resolve outstanding audit questions.
• Summarize testing results and communicate observations in a concise manner for audit stakeholders and leadership.
• Support ongoing audit execution by tracking open items, updating workpapers, and helping maintain progress against project timelines.
