Real Estate Asset Management Analyst | $75B AUM

We are currently partnered with a $75B AUM global real estate asset manager looking to expand their asset management team by bringing on Sr Analyst to the team. The Senior Analyst will support asset management in overseeing and developing strategies across a portfolio of multi-family investments.

In this role, you'll help develop and overseeing portfolio investment strategy, performance monitoring, assist in business strategy at the portfolio & asset level, running the quarterly valuations program, and hold/sell analysis among other responsibilities. Responsibilities

• Analyze performance metrics and retrieve data from internal and external sources to communicate key insights to Asset Managers, Portfolio Management, and other stakeholders
• Assist in the development of property strategies and the improvement of property and organizational performance
• Prepare property and local market sections of quarterly and annual property reports, and assigned elements of the annual business plan
• Support acquisition due diligence and the annual business planning cycle, including evaluation of operations and capital program strategies
• Assist with underwriting new investment opportunities
• Participate in acquisitions and asset management due diligence, including lease reviews and pro forma analysis covering tenants and in-place leases, operating and financial statements, market and competitive position, engineering and environmental condition, taxes/insurance/service contracts, and other property-level and market feasibility factors
• Review annual operating budgets and assist with business plan preparation and presentation
• Support the capital expenditure approval process within business plan parameters
• Conduct quarterly internal valuations and support the third-party appraisal process, including review of appraisals
• Prepare hold/sell analyses for disposition candidates, review BOV materials, and assist with marketing/closing
• Participate in property leasing calls and meetings while building relationships with property management and brokerage teams
• Support acquisition, development, and disposition transactions
• Monitor and analyze financial performance through monthly property financial reports
• Maintain portfolio models and property valuation files
• Assist with portfolio-level and client reporting
• Analyze lease transactions
• Support special projects and ad-hoc reporting as needed
• Up to 25% of the analyst's time may be spent on transactions, portfolio management, or research tasks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or finance
• Approximately 2 years of postgraduate experience at the Senior Analyst level
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills with proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; experience with Argus Enterprise strongly preferred
• Ability to complete detailed analyses and make well-reasoned, decisive recommendations
• Capable of working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to interface professionally across departments (acquisitions, asset management, finance, portfolio management, marketing, research) as well as with third-party firms and industry partners
• Prior multi-family experience is a plus
• Experience analyzing and negotiating lease transactions preferred
