POLY Languages Institute is seeking a dedicated and student-focused ESL Teacher to join our team in Los Angeles. We provide high-quality English language instruction to a diverse international student population and are committed to creating a supportive, engaging, and outcomes-driven learning environment.

Position Overview

This role is ideal for an instructor who is passionate about teaching adult learners and values consistency, collaboration, and professional growth. You will deliver structured, in-person ESL instruction while fostering an inclusive and dynamic classroom experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, level-appropriate ESL instruction to adult learners
• Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment for students from diverse cultural backgrounds
• Plan lessons aligned with program curriculum and learning objectives
• Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback
• Collaborate with fellow instructors and academic staff to maintain instructional quality

Qualifications

• Native-level proficiency in American English (spoken and written)
• Bachelor’s degree in TESOL, Education, or a related field

OR bachelor’s degree plus TESOL/CELTA certification

• Minimum of 1 year ESL teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience teaching adult learners in group classroom settings
• Ability to teach across multiple proficiency levels (beginner to advanced)
• Familiarity with Zoom and basic educational technology tools

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday
• 8:50 AM – 1:30 PM
• Consistent weekly schedule (approximately 16 hours/week)
