Role and Responsibilities

The Guest Service Assistant is an essential member of the Food & Beverage team dedicated to providing exceptional quality and service to our guests. The Guest Service Assistant assists Servers in providing an enjoyable expertly served poolside experience conforming to Four Seasons standards of excellence for quality, professionalism, and friendliness.

Food Runners are essential in ensuring that all dishes are prepared accurately to meet the guest's specific requests and dietary restrictions. They serve the dishes and possess a thorough understanding of the available menu options, drink selections, and daily specials.

Expectations encompass (but are not limited to)

• Guarantee the accurate and timely delivery of food from the kitchen to guests.
• Describing the dishes with attention to detail and passion, enhancing the sensory experience for guests.
• Guarantee that visitors have all the necessary condiments and utensils at their disposal to enjoy their meal.
• Verify food order accuracy by liaising with the expeditor.
• Aid in clearing, sanitizing, and setting tables, chairs, linens, glassware, and silver utensils.
• Anticipate the needs of guests, verify their satisfaction, and respond promptly and adequately to any concerns or requests they may express.
• Serve and transfer food from the kitchen to the pool seating spaces by arranging it on a tray.

Required Skills and Experience

• Previous positions held in the food service industry or related areas.
• Expected to work indoors and outdoors tending to the Pool area and being subjected to different weather conditions, including sun, wind, and rain.
• Availability to work on weekdays, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Effective verbal presentation skills are pivotal in conveying messages with impact.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 40 lbs.
• Ability to successfully execute multiple tasks at once in a demanding and fast-paced context.
• Exceptional problem resolution skills, proficient in handling tough scenarios and meeting guest expectations.
• Proficiency in English involves reading, writing, and speaking effectively.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in a similar luxury hospitality environment.
• Interest or knowledge of regional culinary heritage and background.
• Knowledge of poolside service standards or high-volume service environments.
