The ideal candidate will hold a PE License in California and bring prior experience working with government and public-sector clients, including LA County Public Works, LA Metro, Caltrans, and the City of Los Angeles.
In this position, the Project Engineer helps cultivate and advance engineering projects from concept and planning through design, documentation, and implementation, contributing to IEI’s growing portfolio in the LA market. Strong technical competence, proactive communication, and the ability to solve complex engineering challenges are essential to success in this role.

Essential Duties/Functions And Responsibilities
Active registered Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer required. Additional registrations and accreditations (i.e. LEED AP, Certified Floodplain Manager, PTOE etc.) are desired. Other licenses or registrations may be considered in lieu Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer licensure.

Salary Range: $110K - $140K
IEI is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work outdoors in various weather conditions, possibly for an extended period of time, depending on the assignment type. The noise level in the office work environment is usually moderate. The noise level on the construction site is often loud and may require the use of hearing protection.
