As a Foreman at Cover, you’ll serve as both a hands-on technician and the on-site leader driving team performance. You will be responsible for coordinating daily tasks, enforcing safety and quality standards, and ensuring the install crew meets aggressive, time-sensitive deadlines.

Reporting to the Operations Supervisor, the foreman oversees the accurate installation of prefabricated panels, interior finishes, and appliances while proactively managing field challenges. The ideal candidate brings a high level of accountability, is safety-conscious, thrives under pressure, and has experience leading teams in fast-paced environments requiring coordination across multiple trades.

This role requires flexibility and willingness to travel long-distance, or out-of-town project sites as needed. (mostly throughout SoCal and within California)

Role

• Act as the lead technician on site, responsible for coordinating tasks, enforcing installation standards, and ensuring the team hits aggressive timelines without compromising quality.
• Install prefabricated horizontal panels for floors and roofs, as well as vertical structural and non-structural wall panels.
• Install pre-made interior finishes such as interior walls, finish floors, countertops, ceilings, lighting, closets, bathroom finishes and fixtures, kitchen cabinetry and appliances.
• Install, connect and commission Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing systems including electric sub-panels, electrical runs, plumbing, HVAC, ducts, water heaters, and appliances such as cooktops, ovens, dishwashers, washers, dryers.
• Load and unload materials from trucks and use forklifts, telehandlers, or other material handling equipment.
• Perform thorough quality inspections to ensure all installations meet design and quality standards. Train install technicians on quality expectations.
• Ensure safety protocols and standards are always followed using appropriate PPE and safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all installation processes, inspections, and any field modifications.
• Must be open to work various shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods – 8 hours minimum.
• Must be able to stoop, bend, crawl, and maneuver in tight spaces.
• Ability to understand and follow technical drawings, work instructions, and specifications, and ensure team adherence to the same.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team while also working hands-on to meet aggressive production and installation deadlines.
• Ensures team discipline by setting clear expectations around punctuality, accountability, and adherence to schedules.
• Maintains and ensures team to maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite always—emphasizing respectful behavior, especially when working on client properties.
• Skilled in using power tools like drills and impact drivers and ensuring team compliance with tool usage standards.
• Ability to climb ladders and use miscellaneous hand tools for assemblies while guiding team members on safe practices.
• Comfortable working at 1-3 story heights and managing crew safety in elevated conditions.
• Proficient in using table saws or hand cutters and providing on-site guidance on their proper use.
• Must enforce and adhere to mandatory PPE rules depending on the task being performed.
• Physically capable of lifting up to 30 lbs. unassisted, standing for extended periods, stooping, bending, crawling, and maneuvering in tight spaces, while overseeing safe practices across the team.
• Must be able to support Production in factory, if needed, if there is a break between installs.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to coordinate and document field activities clearly.

Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required: Individuals with experience leading teams.
• Required: 3+ years of experience working in a general assembly or construction environment.
• Preferred: Individuals with experience in high-pressure installation environments such as film sets or concert stage setups with time-sensitive deadlines are strongly encouraged to apply.

Compensation

All our positions offer a compensation package that includes equity and robust benefits.

The base cash salary for this position ranges from $35.00/hr - $40.00/hr.

The actual compensation package offered to a successful candidate will additionally be influenced by a variety of factors including the essential functions of the role, experience, credentials & certifications, educational attainment, skill level, and prior accomplishments.

Schedule
