Elementary Teacher/Grade 3

Overview

St. Therese Catholic Academy (STCA) is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Elementary Teacher for our 3rd Grade class for the 2024-2025 school year. As a self-contained teacher, you will be responsible for teaching all Elementary Level Grade content to students in a diverse, Catholic setting. Our school is a welcoming community that ignites the faith, minds, and dreams of our students. Responsibilities

• Teach math, literacy, language arts & writing, science, social studies, and religion classes to 3rd-grade students
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in the PLC (Professional Learning Community) process
• Implement creative and engaging lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying ability levels
• Utilize educational technology in the classroom
• Lead by example and demonstrate a strong work ethic
• Partner with parents and colleagues to support student success
• Qualifications*
• Bachelor's degree in Education or a similar field (Master's preferred)
• Understanding and genuine appreciation of children
• Desire to work in a racially and economically diverse, faith-centered community
• Ability to utilize educational technology in the classroom
• Current Washington (or out-of-state) teaching certificate with a K-5 (minimum) endorsement
• Preferred active Catholic
