Otter on the Rocks is an established, independent craft cocktail bar in the heart of West Seattle. We recently celebrated our four-year anniversary, and we are incredibly proud of the creative, community-focused space we ve built.

Our beverage program is deeply intentional, focusing on unique house-made infusions, custom syrups, and cordials, often drawing inspiration from vibrant Southeast Asian flavors. Combined with a curated flatbread menu and a dedication to warm, exceptional customer service, we offer an elevated yet welcoming neighborhood experience.

Because we operate with a tight-knit, highly collaborative team, every single role here matters. We love what we do, and we re looking for a skilled professional to grow with us.

The Role & What We re Looking ForWe are seeking an experienced cocktail bartender who is passionate about flavor profiles, hospitality, and execution. Because of our small team structure, this role requires a unique balance: you must be an excellent collaborator on busy nights, but equally confident working independently.

Cocktail Experience

Required

You should have a solid foundation in classic mixology, spirits knowledge, and experience working in a dedicated craft cocktail environment.

Availability: Weekend availability is a must (Friday and Saturday night shifts are currently open), along with 1 to 2 weekday shifts depending on the week. Expect 3 5 shifts per week total.

Independent Drive: Some day shifts are solo operations. You must be self-motivated, organized, and comfortable managing the floor, prep, and the bar on your own.

Hospitality-First Mindset: A strong focus on providing a warm and welcoming guest experience. We want our regulars and first-timers to feel genuinely looked after.

Team Players: We value a positive, flexible, and ego-free attitude. We show up for each other and keep the energy light and collaborative.

Food Menu: We have a small food menu, must be open to assembling these items.

Requirements

• 2+ years of bartending experience in a craft cocktail-focused environment.
• Valid Washington Class 12 MAST Permit and Food Worker Card.
• Strong multi-tasking skills (handling cocktail prep, high-volume rushes, and light food service seamlessly).
