602WHM - Warehouse Manager

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing daily warehouse operations within the branch location, ensuring efficient product flow, inventory accuracy, operational safety, and overall team productivity. This role provides leadership and direction for warehouse personnel while maintaining a safe, organized, and customer-focused operation.

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for inventory management, product movement, workforce planning, and operational execution. Working closely with branch leadership, sales, purchasing, and logistics teams, this individual ensures product availability, operational efficiency, and exceptional service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and product movement.
• Lead, coach, and develop warehouse team members through hiring, onboarding, training, scheduling, performance management, and ongoing development.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive warehouse environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and stock organization to support operational and customer needs.
• Conduct and oversee cycle counts, inventory audits, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies, operational challenges, and workflow inefficiencies.
• Develop and implement processes that improve productivity, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
• Coordinate with purchasing, sales, logistics, and branch leadership to ensure timely product availability and customer fulfillment.
• Monitor warehouse performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational goals.
• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of warehouse equipment and facilities.
• Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, continuous improvement, and safety.
• Support customer satisfaction through accurate order fulfillment and responsive operational support.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support branch and company objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in logistics, supply chain, business, or related field is a plus.
• Three (3) or more years of warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, distribution, or related operational experience required.
• Previous warehouse management, supervisory, or team leadership experience required.
• Strong understanding of inventory management, warehouse operations, and workflow coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and hold team members accountable to performance and safety expectations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage competing operational demands.
• Working knowledge of warehouse safety standards, operational compliance requirements, and best practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification or forklift operating experience.
• Experience with inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), or related operational software.
• Experience within the building materials, manufacturing, distribution, or construction supply industries.
• Knowledge of inventory forecasting, inventory control processes, and warehouse performance metrics.
