Medical Receptionist

Medical Receptionist Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Medical Receptionist for a growing physical therapy and healthcare organization focused on delivering a welcoming, high-touch patient experience. This is a temporary, onsite position in Austin, TX , with an anticipated start date of Monday, July 27 .

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Medical Receptionist serves as a key point of contact for patients while supporting the daily administrative operations of a busy physical therapy clinic. This position will manage front desk responsibilities, appointment scheduling, patient communication, payments, and insurance-related coordination while creating a warm and professional experience.

The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, quick to learn new systems, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, patient-facing environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Welcome patients and visitors while providing friendly, polished, and attentive front desk support Schedule and coordinate patient appointments while maintaining accurate clinic calendars Answer incoming calls, respond to patient questions, and route communications appropriately Process patient payments and assist with insurance verification and related administrative needs Maintain accurate patient information and support intake processes using clinic scheduling and healthcare systems Provide general administrative support to clinic leadership and help keep daily operations organized and efficient

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in medical reception, administrative support, healthcare, hospitality, customer service, or another patient-facing environment Strong customer service skills with a professional phone presence and clear written and verbal communication Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and remain organized in a fast-paced setting Comfortable learning scheduling systems, EMR or healthcare platforms, Microsoft Office, email platforms, and Slack Warm, dependable, detail-oriented approach with the ability to work effectively with patients, colleagues, and clinic leadership

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This temporary position offers $22.00 per hour and a consistent onsite schedule of Tuesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Benefits information will be provided based on eligibility and assignment terms.
