LakeCreek Montessori International School is seeking a passionate Elementary English Teacher to join our growing bilingual English-Chinese elementary program.

Located in Northwest Austin, we are an international Montessori school where students learn in both English and Mandarin in a warm, collaborative environment.

This position is ideal for an experienced elementary teacher who enjoys teaching English Language Arts while working alongside an experienced Montessori Lead Teacher.

No Montessori certification is required. If you are passionate about elementary education and open to learning about Montessori education, we would love to hear from you.

What You'll Do

As our English Elementary Teacher, you will

• Teach English Language Arts, including reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and literature.
• Help students develop strong communication, critical thinking, and creative writing skills.
• Support interdisciplinary learning through science, history, geography, and project-based activities.
• Work closely with our Mandarin-speaking Montessori Lead Teacher to provide a rich bilingual learning environment.
• Foster independence, confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning.
• Build positive relationships with students and families.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging classroom.

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who has

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
• Experience teaching elementary-aged students (Grades 1–6 preferred).
• English fluency.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for helping children grow academically and socially.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a bilingual teaching team.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
• Ability to pass all required background checks.

Preferred (but not required)

• Montessori experience.
• Private school or international school experience.
• ESL or Reading certification.
• Experience in project-based learning or inquiry-based education.
