Our established fast-casual cafe is growing and needs a chef who can bring their experience and unique flair to our kitchens. We re on the lookout for someone who can take charge, fully own the creative vision, refine and roll out efficient operational systems, and foster a vibrant and energetic kitchen atmosphere during the day.

About Civil Goat: We're a dynamic cafe concept based in Austin, committed to delivering a culinary fast-casual experience to the neighborhoods we re established in. We're looking for a culinary leader who shares our passion for producing exceptional culinary experiences both in coffee and food.

What You'll Do

• Lead kitchen operations and ensure consistent culinary standards across all cafe locations
• Develop and refine menu offerings that excite our guests and reflect our brand
• Create and help implement kitchen procedures and best practices
• Train, mentor, and inspire back-of-house staff to reach their full potential
• Innovate by designing and testing new menu items that keep our offerings fresh and competitive
• Collaborate with ownership to align culinary vision with business goals
• What We re Looking For:2+ years of experience in a CDC or Sous Chef role in a quality-driven kitchen
• Strong leadership instincts and the ability to earn a team s respect
• A process-oriented mindset - you see systems as a form of hospitality
• Ambition that s matched by patience and the willingness to do the work
• Excellent communication skills and a calm demeanor under pressure
