A rapidly growing energy technology company is seeking a skilled Electrician Technician to support the assembly, wiring, testing, and commissioning of advanced battery energy storage systems (BESS). In this role, you work closely with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to build industrial-grade energy storage products that deliver reliable power wherever it is needed.

You apply your experience reading electrical schematics, installing and terminating wiring, troubleshooting electrical systems, and operating in a fast-paced manufacturing environment to help build next-generation energy infrastructure from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and wire battery energy storage systems, control panels, and electrical subassemblies to meet engineering and production specifications.
• Interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings to guide accurate assembly and installation work.
• Route, terminate, label, and verify low- and high-voltage electrical wiring to ensure safe, organized, and reliable connections.
• Install and connect breakers, relays, contactors, sensors, power distribution equipment, and control components within energy storage systems.
• Perform electrical testing, including continuity checks, insulation resistance testing, and system verification, to confirm proper operation and safety.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues that arise during assembly and testing processes, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Assist with startup, commissioning, and validation of completed battery energy storage systems prior to deployment.
• Maintain strict compliance with company safety procedures, OSHA standards, lockout/tagout requirements, and established electrical safety practices.
• Document completed work thoroughly and maintain accurate production records to support traceability and quality control.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, communicate, and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and product quality.
• Support a clean, organized, and safe manufacturing environment by following housekeeping standards and proper tool and equipment handling practices.

Essential Skills

• At least 3 years of experience in electrical assembly, industrial electrical work, control panel wiring, manufacturing, or a closely related field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams with a high degree of accuracy.
• Hands-on experience using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, clamp meters, and continuity testers.
• Solid understanding of electrical safety practices, including adherence to lockout/tagout procedures and OSHA safety standards.
• Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, wire crimpers, and electrical assembly equipment in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods while performing assembly and wiring tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and a clear commitment to producing high-quality, reliable workmanship.
• Ability to adapt well in a quickly changing and growing environment, maintaining productivity and focus amid shifting priorities.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience with electrical wiring and assembly in industrial or manufacturing contexts.
• Capability to work effectively with control panels, blueprints, mechanical assembly tasks, machine building, troubleshooting, and schematic interpretation.
• Comfort using a variety of hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently in a factory environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Texas Journeyman Electrician License or equivalent electrical certification is highly preferred.
• Experience building battery systems, renewable energy products, EV charging systems, switchgear, UPS systems, or industrial control panels.
• Familiarity with National Electrical Code (NEC) requirements and industrial electrical standards.
• Experience working in startup, manufacturing, or high-growth production environments where processes and products evolve rapidly.
• PLC troubleshooting or controls experience, including diagnosing and resolving control system issues.
• Experience with battery management systems (BMS) and power electronics in energy storage or related applications.
• Background as an apprentice or journeyman electrician, with exposure to both mechanical and electrical aspects of system assembly.
• Ability to collaborate closely with engineering and leadership teams in a dynamic, innovation-focused setting.

Work Environment

This role is based in a manufacturing facility in Texas, within a factory environment that is not yet climate controlled. You work on-site in Building 1, Suite 100, using a range of hand tools, power tools, electrical testing equipment, and assembly tools to build and validate battery energy storage systems and related control panels.

The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with flexibility required to work either an 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. shift or a 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. shift, and the ability to work occasional additional hours when needed, though such overtime is expected to be rare initially.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $48.00/hr.
