Role Description The Safety Professional role is a full-time, on-site position based in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. In this role, the Safety Professional will conduct workplace safety assessments, support Environment Health and Safety (EHS) programs, and provide guidance on occupational health and safety standards.

Responsibilities include delivering safety training, assisting in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures, and conducting accident and incident investigations. The Safety Professional will prepare reports, maintain safety documentation, and collaborate with client leadership and frontline personnel to address hazards and implement corrective actions.

The role also involves staying current with relevant regulations and best practices to ensure clients meet legal and industry requirements.

Qualifications

• Candidates should possess strong Health & Safety and Occupational Health skills, with the ability to interpret and apply applicable regulations and standards.
• Candidates should possess robust Environment Health and Safety (EHS) expertise, including experience supporting or managing EHS programs in industrial, commercial, or construction settings.
• Candidates should possess experience in Safety Training, including developing and delivering training sessions tailored to different roles and skill levels.
• Candidates should possess Accident Investigation skills, including root-cause analysis, documentation, and development of corrective and preventive actions.
• Relevant certifications such as CSP, CHST, ASP, or equivalent are beneficial, along with familiarity with OSHA standards and other regulatory frameworks.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to engage constructively with diverse stakeholders on-site.
• Experience working in or consulting for sectors such as manufacturing, construction, or energy is an asset, as is proficiency with common safety reporting tools and software.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, environmental science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
