About the Opportunity

Job Description

Northeastern's Marketing department is looking for a highly collaborative and talented UX/UI Designer to join our team. As a UX/UI Designer, you take an active role in the discovery, concepting and implementation of user experiences across university digital assets, serving a spectrum of audience segments.

You will collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members and university stakeholders to create optimized, cross-platform user-centered experiences.

We're looking for the complete UX package with an emphasis on intuitive experiences and sophisticated visual design skills.

Primary responsibilities include

• Analyze user needs and align with business objectives
• Design intuitive and compelling interfaces optimized across devices
• Create personas, journey maps, wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, site maps, prototypes, and mockups/comps
• Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off
• Collaborate with team members, university colleagues and stakeholders to identify opportunities for integrated user experiences
• Participate in presentations of designs for review and approval at various levels across the university
• Maintain and extend Northeastern brand identity systems
• Represent UX/UI best practices across the university

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in UX/UI design, interaction design, information architecture or other related disciplines - key visual UI design eye a must
• Ability to solve complex interactions and demonstrate a high level of critical thinking skills
• Well-versed in Design Thinking principles and cross platform design best practices
• A comprehensive portfolio that demonstrates intuitive and compelling designs
• Self-starter with a track record of delivering quality work under deadlines
• Extraordinary attention to details and craftsmanship
• Natural collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills
• Bachelor's Degree
