A confidential Massachusetts-based litigation practice is seeking an Employment Litigation Associate Attorney to support a busy employment and labor docket. This is a 100% litigation role with meaningful responsibility, hands-on skill development, and a hybrid schedule designed to support sustained, high-quality work.

THE ROLE

• Support and manage employment litigation matters in Massachusetts state and federal forums.
• Conduct high-quality legal research and apply statutory and case law to active disputes, including Massachusetts-specific statutes such as the Massachusetts Wage Act.
• Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, and substantive motions.
• Assist with deposition, hearing, mediation, and settlement preparation as needed.
• Communicate with clients and opposing counsel and contribute to case strategy and day-to-day file management.

Hybrid, typically in office 3 days per week

Compensation

Base salary: $110,000

REQUIREMENTS

• Active Massachusetts bar admission in good standing.
• 2+ years of employment litigation experience (candidates with less experience may be considered with exceptional research and writing strength).
• Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
• Strong legal research and writing skills (non-negotiable), including comfort with in-depth research that may require use of a physical law library.
• Ability to draft and manage core litigation deliverables, including pleadings, discovery, and motion practice support.

PREFERRED BACKGROUND

• Additional bar admission in any of the six New England states.
• Portable business or demonstrated ability to support practice growth (helpful but not required).
• Strong initiative, critical thinking, and adaptability in a fast-moving litigation environment.
