Interim Assistant Legal Counsel

Major, Lindsey & Africa’s Interim Legal Talent group has an immediate need for an Interim Assistant Legal Counsel to assist with commercial agreements.

Overview

Our client seeks a skilled commercial attorney for a three plus month assignment.

Company: Our client is a well-respected professional services firm headquartered in Boston.

Experience: Five or more years’ experience acquired in a top law firm and in-house environment advising on commercial agreements.

Location: Hybrid; Back Bay

Responsibilities Include

• Review, negotiate and draft a variety of commercial agreements including vendor agreements, engagement letters, IT vendor agreements, consulting agreements, data license agreements, confidentiality agreements, statements of work, and office contracts.
• Serve as a point of contact for internal clients regarding contractual questions.
• Advise of potential legal and economic risk arising in commercial agreements.

Qualifications Include

• Excellent academic credentials including a baccalaureate degree and a law degrees from well-respected and accredited national schools.
• At least five years’ experience acquired in a top law firm, professional services firm, or other in-house environment advising clients on commercial agreements.
• Comfort in working with both junior and senior members of the client’s teams.
• Experience with litigation support, AI vendors, pharmaceutical research, and/or data privacy a plus.
• Willingness to work in a rich feed-back environment.
