Environment, Health and Safety Manager

Harvey Nash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Project/Program Manager I – EHS to support safety operations and program execution within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in incident investigation, corrective action management, behavioral safety auditing, and contractor safety oversight.

The ideal candidate will have strong floor operations experience, excellent cross-functional coordination skills, and a proactive approach to driving safety compliance, risk reduction, and operational excellence.

About the Role

• Responsible for coordinating and driving execution of the RMTO Operations Safety Support program across the assigned site and shift structure.
• This role supports Operations Managers by helping manage incident follow up, corrective action closure, contractor onboarding oversight, behavioral safety audits, PSRM checklist execution, and enhanced floor presence.
• The Program Manager partners closely with Operations Managers and site EHS to ensure safety related operational actions are documented, prioritized, assigned, tracked, and completed. This role serves as the operational owner for RMTO safety execution follow through, while EHS remains the functional owner for safety policy, regulatory interpretation, and EHS defined program criteria.
• This role requires strong floor presence, disciplined task management, cross functional coordination, and the ability to coach, escalate, and remove barriers to action completion.

The ideal candidate will have 2–5 years of experience in manufacturing, production, warehouse, robotics, or industrial environments, with hands-on involvement in safety operations, incident investigations, and corrective action management.

They should be comfortable spending significant time on the production floor, conducting behavioral safety audits, coaching associates in real time, and partnering with Operations and EHS teams to drive safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate incident reporting, investigations, and corrective action tracking
• Conduct behavioral safety audits and provide real-time coaching on the production floor
• Support contractor onboarding, safety compliance, and competency verification
• Execute and monitor PSRM safety review processes prior to production activities
• Drive closure of safety-related action items and escalate blockers when needed
• Maintain strong floor presence to ensure adherence to SOPs, housekeeping, and operational safety standards
• Partner cross-functionally to improve safety performance and reduce risk

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
• 2–4 years of experience in Manufacturing Operations, EHS, Safety Programs, Industrial Hygiene, or related environments
• Experience conducting incident investigations and managing corrective actions
• Strong understanding of behavioral-based safety auditing and safety compliance programs
• Ability to work directly on the production floor and coach teams in real time
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills

A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $40 - $45 Hourly on W2.
