Role and Responsibilities of Retail Staff Member

At Five Below, associates play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting store operations to enhance the overall shopping experience and make it enjoyable and welcoming for all customers.

• Offer prompt and welcoming support to customers with a helpful approach.
• Impart information about products, propose recommendations, and present answers to fulfill customer demands.
• Elevate customer engagement through the promotion of store events, special deals, and activities.
• Address customer issues with empathy and present alternative solutions if available in a polite manner.
• Inform management about restocking inventory and receiving feedback from customers.
• Team up with others to attain the goals of the store and the overall company.

Qualifications for Retail Staff Member

• Participants must have celebrated their 16th birthday to be eligible.
• The job calls for flexibility in availability, covering evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skilled at utilizing and familiar with technology like registers and mobile devices.
• Possesses outstanding customer service and communication competencies.
• Capacity to swiftly and adeptly resolve issues in a professional manner.
• Willingness to grow through hands-on learning experiences.

Essential Job Functions of Retail Staff Member

• Manage financial transactions at the point of sale and handle customer payments.
• Transport and arrange products that are up to 25 pounds in weight and can be stored on shelves extending to a maximum of 10 feet high.
• Engage in ladder climbing and bending, twisting, and stooping actions during duties such as stocking merchandise and supporting customers.
• Interact in person and via telephone with clients, colleagues, and supervisors.
• Regularly move around the sales floor and storage facilities.
• Keep your attention fixed and remain upright for an extended period.
• Show readiness to adjust your timetable to include overnight shifts as necessary.
