Litigation Legal Secretary – Washington, DC

A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to join its Washington, DC office. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized, proactive legal professional with strong litigation experience who thrives in a fast-paced law firm environment.

The ideal candidate will have at least five years of litigation legal secretary experience and be comfortable supporting busy attorneys, managing competing priorities, and handling a wide range of administrative responsibilities with professionalism and exceptional attention to detail.

Compensation

Salary: $105,000 annually, plus overtime, bonuses, and profit sharing.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive administrative support to attorneys in a busy litigation practice.
• Manage complex attorney calendars, schedule meetings, and monitor important deadlines.
• Coordinate domestic and international travel and prepare detailed travel itineraries.
• Prepare and submit attorney expense reports accurately and on time.
• Assist with business development and marketing initiatives, including research and document preparation.
• Organize, maintain, and update client and matter files in accordance with firm procedures.
• Enter attorney time as needed.
• Respond promptly to attorney and administrative requests.
• Assist with special projects and other administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5–6 years of experience working in a law firm environment.
• At least five years of experience as a litigation legal secretary. (Not paralegal)
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a professional demeanor.
• Experience coordinating domestic and international travel and managing complex itineraries.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Four-year bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
