Duties

• Lead and supervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient team management and fostering a positive work environment
• Plan, develop, and update menus that reflect current culinary trends and guest preferences
• Oversee food production processes, ensuring high-quality food presentation and consistency across all dishes
• Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and order supplies to optimize food costs and minimize waste
• Enforce food safety protocols, sanitizing procedures, and hygiene standards to ensure compliance with health regulations
• Coordinate catering events, banquets, and special functions with attention to detail and timely execution
• Supervise food handling practices, ensuring proper storage, preparation, and serving of all menu items
• Oversee shift management, including scheduling staff rotations and managing daily operational tasks
• Maintain excellent customer service standards by serving guests directly when needed and addressing feedback promptly
• Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs while maintaining menu integrity

Skills

• Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in fine dining environments
• Proven supervising experience leading kitchen teams effectively
• Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitizing procedures, and health regulations
• Expertise in food production, menu planning, and catering operations
• Strong inventory management skills including inventory control and cost control techniques
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting with excellent organizational skills
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Experience in restaurant management or food service management roles is highly desirable
• Competence in managing shift schedules, overseeing kitchen operations, and maintaining high standards of hospitality
• Familiarity with bartending or beverage service is a plus for enhancing guest experiences
