Construction Estimator

Company Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Construction Estimator to join our team on an as-needed basis. This is a 1099 independent contractor position ideal for a self-motivated professional who excels at analyzing project drawings, specifications, and related documents to prepare accurate and competitive estimates for a variety of construction projects.

Role Description

This is a 1099 independent contract position which the person will be needed on-site role for a Construction Estimator at Mo Construction, Inc., located in Washington, DC. The Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, conducting quantity take-offs, and managing budgets for construction projects.

Day-to-day tasks will include analyzing project plans, performing cost analysis, and coordinating with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate project estimates. The Construction Estimator will also be responsible for maintaining up-to-date records of estimated costs and actual expenditures. The ideal candidate must be located in Washington, DC.

Qualifications

• Construction Estimating and Quantity Take-offs skills
• Experience in Cost Management and Budgeting
• Strong Communication skills
• Ability to work on-site in Washington, DC
• Excellent analytical and organizational skills
• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Proficiency in construction estimating software is a plus
• Minimum 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role
