Position Summary

We are seeking a Tax Consultant to join a leading multinational organization with operations across North America and global markets. This long-term consulting opportunity is ideal for an experienced tax professional with extensive international ASC 740 experience who enjoys partnering with clients, managing complex tax accounting matters, and delivering high-quality solutions in a collaborative environment.

This hybrid position is based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and requires working onsite three days per week.

Essential Duties

• Manage the corporate tax provision with a focus on international ASC 740.
• Lead tax accounting and compliance activities for assigned client engagements.
• Analyze complex tax issues and recommend practical business solutions.
• Partner with client stakeholders to support tax reporting requirements.
• Review tax provisions, compliance processes, and supporting documentation.
• Provide technical guidance on federal, state, and international tax matters.
• Build trusted client relationships through exceptional communication and service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Advanced degree in Taxation or related discipline preferred.
• CPA certification or equivalent credential highly preferred.
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive tax experience.
• Combination of Big Four public accounting and corporate industry experience preferred.
• Extensive experience with international tax accounting and ASC 740 required.

Skills and Job-Specific Competencies

• Strong knowledge of ASC 740 tax accounting.
• Experience preparing and reviewing international tax provisions.
• Experience with U.S. federal income tax compliance.
• Knowledge of state income tax compliance and tax provision processes.
• Experience with sales and use tax reporting and compliance.
• Experience managing property tax compliance.
• Understanding of transfer pricing principles and documentation.
• Experience with partnership taxation.
• Experience supporting tax due diligence and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong tax research and analytical skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively and provide leadership when needed.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Travel Requirements: No travel will be required, unless at the client's discretion.

Salary Range

SolomonEdwards values your unique and individual experience and background. As such, we take a comprehensive approach when determining compensation for our roles. The compensation for this specific role is based on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to education, licensure and certifications, location, experience, and training.

A reasonable estimate for the current hourly range for this role is $75 – 110.
