About Us

Headboards World is a rapidly growing luxury furniture manufacturer specializing in handcrafted beds, banquettes, upholstered furniture, and home décor. We manufacture and ship custom furniture to homeowners and interior designers across the United States.

As we continue expanding, we're looking for a Transportation & Logistics Manager to lead our shipping and logistics operation. This person will oversee our freight network, negotiate with transportation partners, improve shipping processes, and help ensure every customer receives their furniture safely and on time.

This is an opportunity to build and improve a growing logistics department while working closely with company leadership.

Responsibilities

• Manage our outbound shipping and freight operations
• Build relationships with LTL, white-glove, and freight carriers
• Negotiate competitive shipping rates and service agreements
• Research and onboard new transportation partners as the business grows
• Work closely with our warehouse, production, and customer service teams to coordinate shipments
• Monitor freight costs and identify opportunities to reduce expenses
• Manage freight claims and resolve shipping issues
• Develop and improve shipping procedures and logistics processes
• Track carrier performance, transit times, and delivery quality
• Maintain shipping records and freight documentation
• Support and mentor our Shipping Coordinator
• Help build a scalable logistics operation as the company continues to grow

Qualifications

• 3+ years of logistics, transportation, freight, or supply chain experience
• Experience working with LTL freight and transportation carriers
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel

Preferred Qualifications

• Furniture or manufacturing experience
• White-glove delivery experience
• Experience negotiating freight contracts
• Knowledge of freight claims
• Experience with ERP, shipping, or warehouse management software
