About the Firm

Roquemore Skierski PLLC is a Dallas-based business litigation boutique representing small and mid-sized companies in high-stakes commercial disputes across Texas. We are not a volume firm. Our work includes breach of contract, business torts, trade secrets, fraud, and complex multi-party litigation.

We are deliberate about who we hire — and we expect a lot from the people we bring in.

What Makes This Role Different

Most litigation positions at the 3–5 year level offer more of the same: more doc review, more research memos, more watching someone else try the case. This role is built differently.

You will be handed real responsibility — cases, clients, and courtroom time — earlier than you would get it anywhere else. Partners are accessible and engaged, but this is not a hand-holding environment. You will be expected to step into the work, take ownership of your matters, and push yourself toward the first chair.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing litigation matters with partner guidance on complex issues
• Serving as primary point of contact for clients
• Drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery independently
• Handling depositions and courtroom appearances
• Preparing matters for mediation, arbitration, and trial
• Building toward first-chair trial experience
• Developing client relationships and laying the foundation for a book of business

The Work

We handle commercial and business litigation in Dallas-Fort Worth area courts. Matters regularly involve:

• Breach of contract and business torts
• Partnership and shareholder disputes
• Fraud and misrepresentation claims
• Trade secret and unfair competition disputes
• Multi-party commercial disputes

What We're Looking For

• 3–5 years of commercial or civil litigation experience
• Deposition and hearing experience preferred
• Strong legal writer who drafts independently and under deadline
• Someone who takes ownership — not someone who waits to be told what to do next
• Genuine drive to develop trial skills and build a client base
• Texas Bar license (required); must reside in the Dallas–Fort Worth area

Compensation

• Base salary: $200,000–$225,000 (DOE)
• Performance bonus
• Discretionary firm profitability bonus
• Additional upside for client origination and business development
• Billable expectation: 160 hours per month
