Our private school is a growing educational community currently serving students in Kindergarten through 5th grade, with plans to expand through 8th grade by 2029. Our curriculum combines a rigorous academic experience with a child-centered philosophy, drawing inspiration from the Reggio Emilia approach while integrating classical literature, experiential learning, and practical, real-world experiences.

The Lead Teacher will take ownership of their classroom while working closely with leadership and fellow educators to deliver an engaging, well-rounded academic experience.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of structure and creativity—someone who can support academic growth while also fostering curiosity, confidence, and independence in young learners.

Responsibilities

• Leading a classroom of early elementary students and supporting their academic and developmental growth
• Creating thoughtful, engaging lesson plans that incorporate hands-on and interdisciplinary learning
• Tracking student progress and maintaining regular communication with parents
• Setting both group and individualized goals to ensure each child is supported
• Preparing and maintaining a well-organized classroom environment (both indoors and outdoors)
• Collaborating closely with other teachers and school leadership
• Supporting school-wide responsibilities such as carpool, lunch, and dismissal
• Participating in professional development and team meetings
• Assisting with field trips and experiential learning opportunities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required (Education or related field preferred)
• Teaching certification (or currently in progress) is a plus
• Strong communication skills and a professional, positive presence
• Someone who is proactive, flexible, and thrives in a collaborative environment
• A genuine passion for working with early elementary-aged children
• Ability to manage a classroom while creating a warm, engaging atmosphere
• Interest in progressive education models (Reggio Emilia experience is a bonus, but not required)

• Competitive compensation based on experience
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. and pass a background check
• Final step in the process will include a teaching demonstration

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $95,500.00 per year
