Foreman

A well-established Dallas-Fort Worth civil and general contractor is seeking an experienced Foreman to oversee field crews on heavy civil, infrastructure, concrete, utility, demolition, excavation, and site development projects.

Position Overview

The Foreman will be responsible for supervising field crews, coordinating equipment and materials, reading plans, tracking production, maintaining jobsite safety, and working closely with Superintendents and Project Managers to keep projects moving forward.

The ideal candidate will have strong civil construction field experience, preferably across concrete, utilities, excavation, demolition, drainage, roadway, airport, rail, municipal, or infrastructure-related work.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily field operations, including laborers, operators, concrete crews, and subcontractors.
• Lead crews in the safe and efficient execution of civil construction scopes.
• Coordinate daily manpower, equipment, materials, and work sequencing.
• Read and interpret plans, specifications, drawings, and field layouts.
• Monitor production and ensure work is completed according to schedule and quality standards.
• Assist with concrete site work, structural concrete, underground utilities, excavation, demolition, drainage, paving, and related civil scopes.
• Enforce jobsite safety procedures and ensure all team members follow company and OSHA standards.
• Conduct daily pre-task planning, toolbox talks, and job hazard assessments.
• Communicate regularly with Superintendents, Project Managers, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Track quantities, materials, equipment usage, delays, and daily progress.
• Identify and resolve field issues before they impact schedule, quality, or safety.
• Ensure crews maintain a clean, organized, and productive jobsite.
• Support quality control efforts and ensure work meets project specifications.
• Mentor and develop crew members, promoting accountability, teamwork, and strong work habits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of civil construction field experience.
• Prior experience as a Foreman, Leadman, Crew Leader, or senior field supervisor.
• Strong background in one or more of the following:
• Structural concrete
• Concrete site work
• Underground utilities
• Excavation
• Demolition
• Drainage
• Roadway or paving work
• Airport, rail, municipal, commercial, or infrastructure projects
• Ability to read and understand plans, specifications, and construction drawings.
• Strong understanding of field production, sequencing, and crew coordination.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced field environment and manage multiple priorities.

Compensation

• Base Salary: $105,000 - $120,000
