About the Role

We’re looking for an Accounts Assistant/ Payable Specialist to handle vendor invoices, payments, and basic bookkeeping for a growing pest control service company. This role supports daily operations by ensuring vendors are paid accurately and on time while keeping accounting records clean and organized and other finance and admin related jobs.

Job Descriptions

• Managing accounts payable using accounting software and other programs
• Handling accounts payable for separate entities and vendors
• Code expenses accurately in QuickBooks
• Analyzing workflow processes
• Establishing and maintaining relationships with new and existing vendors
• Ensuring bills are paid in a timely and accurate manner while adhering to departmental procedures processing due invoices for payments
• Comparing purchase orders, prices, terms of payment, and other charges
• Processing transactions and performing accounting duties such as account maintenance, recording entries, and reconciling books of accounts
• Other administrative projects as assigned.
• Filing of A/P documents online and/or hard copy
• Scanning & uploading of document for A/P
• Prepare and Process weekly/bi weekly payments
• Reconcile invoices vs payments- Employee Benefits
• Responsible for Purchasing required office supplies
• Contact person for Corporate Utilities and Maintenance issues
• To carry out any additional tasks as requested by the direct manager for the success of it's operation

Others

• Competency with QuickBooks online, and other accounting tools
• 3+ years' work experience, with 1 year in accounts payable
• Basic data entry skills
• Comfortable with numbers, data entry, and basic Excel
• Experience in a service-based or field service business preferred
• Good listening and communication skills
• Attention to detail

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
