Tax Consultant

State Income Tax Consultant (Contract) | Remote/Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced State Income Tax Consultant to support an upcoming state income tax filing season for a large corporate tax team. This is a high-volume, production-focused opportunity ideal for someone who enjoys tax compliance work and is comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and file state income tax returns using OneSource
• Support approximately 25 unitary returns and 400 separate returns
• Assist with tax workpaper schedules and supporting documentation
• Review and navigate Excel-based schedules and reports
• Import data from OneSource and validate return information
• Support the tax team throughout filing season to ensure timely completion of returns

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of corporate state income tax experience
• Strong experience preparing state income tax returns
• Hands-on experience with OneSource Tax Provision/Income Tax
• Basic to intermediate Excel skills, including the ability to navigate workbooks and review schedules
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage a high volume of returns
