Position Summary

As an Account Manager at YellowDog, you’ll help customers navigate print, design, and marketing projects while coordinating with our production team to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and with professionalism.

You will assess and interpret customer printing and design needs based on in-person, email, and phone inquiries, create estimates, schedule orders with production using project management software, and coordinate with outside finishing vendors to ensure projects are completed within the desired timeframe.

This is a high-energy, fast-paced role. If you are organized, love solving problems, and keeping complex projects moving forward, you’ll feel right at home. If you prefer long stretches of uninterrupted focus on a single task, this role will likely feel challenging.

The Account Manager position at YellowDog is a full-time position. Typical hours are 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. As the needs of the business change, so may the hours required. This position is required to be in the office for their work schedule.

Client Relationship Management

• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients by providing outstanding customer service.
• Assess client needs for printing, design, and marketing projects and recommend creative solutions.
• Grow existing accounts by identifying opportunities to cross-sell YellowDog’s products and services.
• Manage client expectations regarding project timelines, production schedules, delivery methods, and overall project status.
• Resolve customer concerns with professionalism while seeking positive outcomes for both the client and the company.

Project Management

• Create accurate estimates and manage projects in DocketManager.
• Coordinate projects from estimate through production, delivery, and invoicing.
• Communicate proactively with internal departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
• Order outsourced products and manage relationships with third-party vendors when necessary.
• Track deliveries using ShipStation, Shippo, UPS, courier services, and other shipping platforms.
• Monitor payment terms, tax status, and accounts receivable.
• Partner with the accounting team to resolve outstanding customer balances.

File Review & Production Support

• Review customer artwork and communicate any changes needed to prepare files for production.
• Communicate file corrections to clients or coordinate with in-house designers and prepress staff to prepare print-ready files.
• Serve as a quality control checkpoint before projects are completed, ensuring accuracy, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Support teammates by helping monitor production schedules, due dates, and project quality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to remain seated for extended periods.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

Preferred Experience

• Experience in account management, customer service, sales, or client success.
• Knowledge of the printing, graphic design, marketing, advertising, or agency industries is preferred.
• College coursework or degree is a plus but not required.

Skills & Abilities

• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, both in person and virtually.
• Comfortable speaking with clients by in-person meeting, phone and video conferencing.
• Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.
• Relentless about following projects through to completion.
• Comfortable making decisions, and adapting quickly when priorities change throughout the day.
• Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through.
• Creative problem solver who can confidently present solutions to clients and teammates.
