Commercial Paint Project Coordinator

Responsibilities and Duties

• Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to procure materials and equipment, labor, lodging, and transportation for painting crews; cultivate new vendors and negotiate national pricing.
• Prepare and maintain project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and manage project documentation such as purchase orders and change orders.
• Maintain regular communication with the Project Manager to provide updates on job progress and address any issues that arise.
• Attend on-site or off-site meetings related to project coordination as delegated by the Project Manager.
• Verify project and safety documents are being completed and saved to project management software.
• Ensure all purchase orders are accurate and communicate with vendors on any inaccuracies.
• Assist retail superintendents with logistics and coordination regarding manpower, materials, and lodging on projects; utilize project management tools to monitor working hours, project plans, and change orders.
• Communicate effectively with customers to address scheduling, budget, and scope-related inquiries or concerns.

Experience and Qualifications

• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience with project coordination
• Ability to interpret project scope and blueprints with accuracy and high attention to detail
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple projects concurrently
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
• Background in commercial/industrial painting and/or construction environments highly preferred, but not required
