About the Role

The Accounting Assistant owns the day-to-day bookkeeping across our portfolio of companies. This is a hands-on, high-volume position that spans the full accounting cycle in a complex, multi-entity environment. The role reports directly to the Director of Finance.

Experience

3–5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff-accounting experience required

Education

Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting preferred; equivalent experience considered

Compensation

Key Responsibilities

• Process and manage accounts payable, including coding, entry, and payment runs
• Handle accounts receivable and client invoicing across multiple entities
• Perform bank reconciliations with accuracy and consistency
• Conduct collections follow-up with clients and vendors
• Support month-end close activities
• Maintain organized, accurate financial records across all entities
• Assist with ad-hoc reporting and special projects as needed

Requirements

• 3–5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or staff-accounting experience
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills
• A demonstrated track record of managing AP, AR, and reconciliations independently

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience as an accountant or bookkeeper within a consulting firm, marketing agency, retail business, or property management company
• Multi-entity or intercompany accounting experience
• Interest in incorporating AI tools into accounting workflows
• Interest in growing professionally and taking on more responsibility over time
