This is a salary-based advisory role and does not require an existing book of business or individual sales production. Candidates with a portable book of client relationships are also encouraged to apply, with the opportunity to earn additional compensation from those relationships.

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and relationship-oriented Financial Advisor to join our Raleigh, North Carolina office.

The ideal candidate will hold an active CFP® certification or be on a clear path to obtaining the certification within 12 months of joining the firm. This individual will work alongside senior advisors to provide comprehensive financial planning, investment guidance, and ongoing service to existing and prospective clients.

This position is well suited for an experienced advisor who enjoys building lasting relationships, solving complex financial planning needs, and working collaboratively within a growing wealth management firm.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted client relationships and serve as a primary point of contact for financial planning needs
• Prepare and present comprehensive financial plans covering retirement, investments, taxes, estate planning, insurance, and cash-flow strategies
• Conduct client review meetings, document recommendations, and coordinate follow-up with the advisory and operations teams
• Review client portfolios and collaborate with the investment team on allocation, risk management, and implementation
• Support business development through referrals, professional relationships, and prospective client meetings
• Maintain accurate client records and ensure all recommendations and activities follow firm policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Active CFP® certification or the ability and commitment to obtain the certification within 12 months
• Five or more years of experience in financial planning, wealth management, investment advisory, or a related client-facing role is strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Financial Planning, Business, Economics, or a related field preferred
• Series 65, Series 66, or other applicable securities licenses, or willingness to obtain them
• Strong knowledge of retirement planning, investment management, tax planning, insurance, and estate-planning concepts
• Excellent communication, relationship-management, and presentation skills
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple client relationships
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to acting in clients’ best interests

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced, thoughtful, and proactive advisor who combines strong technical financial-planning knowledge with the ability to communicate clearly and build meaningful client relationships. This person should be comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with senior advisors, investment professionals, and the client-service team.
