Standard Glass Company
Glass Depots is a rapidly growing manufacturer and installer of premium architectural
glazing systems serving residential and commercial markets throughout the Southeast. We
specialize in high-end European aluminum systems including bi-fold doors, sliding doors,
pivot doors, windows, and custom architectural glass solutions.
We're looking for an experienced estimator to replace a long-tenured team member and
become a key technical resource for our customers, architects, builders, and dealers.
This is more than an estimating position. You'll be the trusted advisor helping customers
bring complex projects to life.
The Senior Project Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate quotations for luxury
door and window systems while delivering an exceptional customer experience from the
first inquiry through project handoff.
The ideal candidate combines technical knowledge, attention to detail, excellent
communication skills, and a passion for solving customer challenges.
Estimating & Technical Sales
Prepare accurate quotations for luxury aluminum door and window systems.
Review architectural drawings, specifications and engineering documents.
Interpret customer requirements and recommend appropriate system configurations.
Calculate materials, hardware, glazing, labor and freight requirements.
Verify structural limitations and system capabilities.
Coordinate with engineering and production to ensure manufacturability.
Review revisions and change orders.
Customer Experience
Serve as the primary technical contact for customers during the estimating process.
Respond promptly to inquiries while providing a high level of professionalism.
Guide customers through available system options and product selections.
Build long-term relationships with builders, architects, designers and dealers.
Clearly communicate lead times, limitations and technical requirements.
Follow up on outstanding quotations and assist customers through the sales process.
Project Coordination
Coordinate with suppliers for current pricing and product availability.
Maintain accurate project records and estimating documentation.
Work closely with Sales, Production and Installation teams during project handoff.
Assist with product training and technical support when required.
Stay current on new products and industry developments.
3–5+ years of construction estimating experience.
Experience estimating architectural door and window systems strongly preferred.
Ability to read architectural plans, shop drawings and specifications.
Strong understanding of construction practices and building details.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
Highly detail oriented.
Ability to prioritize multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Valid driver's license.
Experience with European aluminum systems (Cortizo, Schüco, Reynaers, Aluprof, etc.).
Luxury residential window and door products.
Bi-fold, sliding, pivot or lift-and-slide door systems.
Logikal software.
AutoCAD.
Glass and glazing industry experience.
Commercial storefront or curtain wall estimating.
Experience working directly with architects, builders or distributors.
