We are looking for a Full Stack Software Developer to be an integral part of our Genospace team within Ontada. Your role will contribute to the development and enhancement of our innovative software platform, vital for advancing precision medicine in healthcare.

Your Role

• Collaborate with a small, dynamic team to design, develop, test, and maintain features for our web-based, cloud-hosted applications.
• Engage in regular code and software design reviews, offering constructive feedback to teammates while enhancing your own skills.
• Play a key role in refining our engineering processes and technology stack.

Your Impact

As a Full Stack Software Developer, your efforts will directly influence various stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem: from patients seeking tailored treatment options to researchers analyzing complex genomic data.

What We Seek

• Minimum of 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience in building web applications or data processing systems.
• Proficiency in web technologies, with expertise in at least one programming language.
• Experience with both front-end and back-end technologies as well as database management.
• A proven ability to design software that meets technical and functional requirements effectively.
• Creative problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindset, especially when working with product owners and designers.

Preferred Qualifications

• A passion for leveraging technology to make a meaningful impact in healthcare.
• A strong commitment to teamwork and a humble demeanor.
• Familiarity with our technology stack, including:
• Front End - Vue.js
• Back End - Java, Groovy, Grails, Kafka, Micronaut
• Data Tier - MongoDB, Elasticsearch
• Experience in healthcare, biology, genomics, or related fields.

Educational Background

• A 4-year degree in computer science, engineering, or a related STEM field, or equivalent experience.
