Overview

As the Store Manager, you are the leader of a fast-paced retail, shipping, printing, and business services center. You are responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, developing team members, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a customer-focused environment, enjoys coaching employees, and takes ownership of store performance. You will oversee all aspects of the business, including customer experience, staff scheduling, shipping and print operations, inventory management, and financial performance.

The best Store Managers are energetic, organized, and solutions-oriented. They lead by example, maintain high standards, and create a positive environment for both customers and employees.

Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.

ResponsibilitiesLeadership & Team Management

• Recruit, train, coach, and motivate store associates.
• Create employee schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels.
• Foster a positive, customer-focused culture.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback.
• Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service.

Customer Experience

• Ensure every customer receives professional, friendly, and efficient service.
• Resolve customer concerns and complaints promptly and professionally.
• Build relationships with small business customers and mailbox holders.
• Promote store services and identify opportunities to increase customer satisfaction.

Sales & Business Development

• Drive revenue growth across shipping, printing, mailbox, packaging, and business services.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
• Identify opportunities to increase transactions, average ticket size, and repeat business.
• Support local marketing and community outreach initiatives.

Operations Management

• Oversee shipping, printing, packaging, mailbox, and return service operations.
• Ensure compliance with UPS Store standards, policies, and procedures.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels and order supplies as needed.
• Monitor equipment maintenance and coordinate service calls when required.
• Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and professional at all times.

Financial Management

• Manage cash handling, deposits, and daily reconciliations.
• Monitor labor costs and operating expenses.
• Review reports and key performance indicators to improve profitability.
• Ensure accurate recordkeeping and operational controls.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs.
• Comfortable working in a retail environment with frequent customer interaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 3+ years of retail, shipping, print services, or customer service management experience preferred.
• Prior supervisory or management experience required.
• Experience with sales, scheduling, inventory control, and cash management preferred.
