We are seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef to join the culinary leadership team at our prestigious private city dining club. Our club is recognized for delivering an exceptional Contemporary American dining experience with an unwavering commitment to quality, creativity, and impeccable service.

This is more than an Executive Sous Chef position—it's a leadership opportunity. We are looking for a chef who is ready to demonstrate the skills, professionalism, and vision required to advance into the Executive Chef role. A successful candidate who consistently exceeds expectations may be considered for promotion within approximately six months.

Role

• Assist in leading all day-to-day culinary operations.
• Maintain the highest standards of food quality, consistency, presentation, and sanitation.
• Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff while fostering a positive, accountable team culture.
• Partner with the Executive Chef to develop seasonal menus and innovative features.
• Manage food cost, labor, inventory, purchasing, and waste control.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Lead kitchen operations in the Executive Chef's absence with confidence and professionalism.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary leadership in upscale or fine dining environments.
• Experience as an Executive Sous Chef or a high-performing Sous Chef ready for the next challenge.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Passion for Contemporary American cuisine and elevated dining experiences.
• Proven ability to manage food and labor costs while maintaining exceptional quality.
• A hands-on leader who leads by example and thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
• Culinary degree preferred but equivalent professional experience will be considered.

Growth Opportunity

This position is designed for a chef with Executive Chef aspirations. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership, operational excellence, team development, and culinary creativity during a structured evaluation period. Those who prove they are capable of successfully leading the culinary program may be promoted to Executive Chef within approximately six months.
