Production Logistics & Inventory Coordinator

Together, we design and build advanced machines that tightly integrate mechanical systems, electronics, and software into platforms our customers depend on every day.

We are building a high-performance production floor and are now hiring a Production Logistics & Inventory Coordinator to own the flow of materials from receiving through shipment.

This role sits at the center of daily operations. You will ensure parts are in the right place at the right time, builds stay unblocked, and finished machines ship cleanly and on schedule. You will work closely with the Production Lead and Assembly Technicians, combining logistics, inventory ownership, and hands-on floor support.

This is not a desk-only role. It is hands-on, fast-paced, and critical. You are directly responsible for keeping the floor flowing.

What You Will Do

Shipping & Outbound Logistics

• Pack, crate, and ship finished machines and parts (small parcel, LTL, and occasional international)
• Coordinate shipments with the sales team and customers to meet delivery timelines
• Prepare shipping documentation (labels, BOLs, basic customs paperwork)
• Maintain high standards for packaging quality, protection, and presentation

Receiving & Inventory Flow

• Receive and verify inbound materials against packing slips, and properly label and stage inventory
• Maintain clean, organized staging and storage areas aligned with 5S principles
• Execute inventory transactions and support cycle counts to maintain accuracy

Inventory Coordination & Purchasing Support

• Monitor inventory levels (both physical and digital in our ERP) and flag shortages and inconsistencies proactively
• Support ordering of parts and consumables in coordination with the Production Lead
• Track incoming shipments and follow up on delays or discrepancies
• Help maintain accurate ERP inventory records and part organization

Kitting & Production Support

• Kit parts for builds to ensure Assembly Technicians are never blocked
• Perform light sub-assembly work as part of inventory intake and build preparation
• Support point-of-use replenishment and standard work on the production floor

Operational Excellence

• Support and own 5S, standard work, and visual management systems on the floor
• Identify and drive improvements in material flow, inventory, and floor efficiency
• Maintain clear communication on risks to shipments, inventory, or builds

Qualifications

Required

• High ownership mindset. You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks
• 2–5+ years in logistics, shipping/receiving, inventory, or production support in a manufacturing or warehouse environment
• Experience with small parcel shipping (UPS/FedEx) and LTL freight coordination
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in fast-paced environments
• Comfortable working hands-on in a production setting

Preferred Skills (the higher proficiency, the better)

• Experience with inventory systems, purchasing workflows, or ERP tools
• Exposure to Lean manufacturing (5S, standard work, visual management)
• Experience with crating or shipping high-value equipment
• Familiarity with basic international shipping and customs documentation
• Strong spreadsheet and general computer skills (Microsoft 365)
• Comfortable using AI tools to problem solve and improve workflow efficiency
