Business Office Manager

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Business Office Manager to oversee the financial and administrative operations of a healthcare facility. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, accounts receivable management, regulatory compliance, and exceptional customer service for residents, families, and business partners.

The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and knowledgeable in healthcare reimbursement and business office operations. This individual will work closely with facility leadership to support financial performance while delivering a positive experience for residents and their families.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Business Office, including billing, accounts receivable, collections, and resident trust accounts.
• Ensure timely and accurate billing for Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private insurance, and private pay accounts.
• Monitor accounts receivable, analyze aging reports, and implement strategies to improve collections and cash flow.
• Assist residents and families with financial questions, insurance benefits, billing inquiries, and payment arrangements.
• Coordinate with admissions, clinical leadership, and corporate partners to ensure accurate payer information and reimbursement.
• Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and payer regulations related to billing and financial operations.
• Supervise, train, and support business office staff while fostering a culture of accountability, professionalism, and customer service.
• Prepare reports, reconcile financial records, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support audits, surveys, and regulatory reviews by ensuring complete and compliant financial records.
• Collaborate with facility leadership to improve operational efficiency and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Business Office Manager or in a healthcare business office leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, private insurance, and private pay billing.
• Experience managing accounts receivable, collections, and reimbursement processes.
• Healthcare, skilled nursing, long-term care, or post-acute experience is strongly preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities with the professionalism to handle confidential financial information.
• Experience supervising or mentoring administrative staff is preferred.
• Proficiency with electronic billing systems and Microsoft Office applications.

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
