Associate Attorney (Personal Injury & Plaintiff Litigation)

About the Position

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Associate Attorney to join plaintiff-side litigation team in Phoenix, AZ. This opportunity is open to newly licensed attorneys through candidates with up to 7 years of experience who are eager to develop their legal skills, advocate for injured clients, and build a successful career in plaintiff litigation.

The Associate Attorney will handle a variety of impactful cases involving personal injury, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, defective drugs, product liability, Social Security Disability, auto accidents, serious accident cases, and wrongful death claims.

This position provides the opportunity for hands-on legal experience, meaningful client interaction, mentorship from experienced attorneys, and involvement in cases where strong advocacy can make a significant difference in clients’ lives.

Requirements

• Active membership and good standing with the State Bar of Arizona
• Newly licensed attorney or attorney with up to 7 years of experience
• Strong interest in plaintiff-side litigation and representing injured individuals
• Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to manage deadlines, prioritize tasks, and handle multiple matters
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to professionalism and client service
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
• Prior litigation, clerkship, internship, or courtroom experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and correspondence
• Assist with case evaluation, investigation, and litigation strategy
• Communicate directly with clients regarding case status, legal strategy, and expectations
• Review and analyze medical records, accident reports, and other evidence
• Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances
• Assist with settlement negotiations and trial preparation
• Work closely with senior attorneys on complex injury cases
• Maintain organized case files and meet court and client deadlines
