Biomedical Engineer or Technician

Job Summary

The Biomedical Engineer is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and continuous operation of all medical, laser, and clinical equipment across branches. The role focuses on equipment monitoring, preventive maintenance, timely repairs, documentation, and coordination with operations and clinical leadership to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor and report the operational status of all machines on an hourly basis through Trello.
• Identify, prioritize, and communicate equipment malfunctions or technical issues promptly.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date equipment logs and maintenance records.

Maintenance & Repairs

• Coordinate corrective maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Identify machine repair priorities and escalate critical issues immediately.
• Request required spare parts on a weekly basis through Trello and official email channels.

Preventive Maintenance & Compliance

• Prepare, place, and maintain Preventive Maintenance (PPM) stickers on all machines.
• Ensure PPM documentation is completed and displayed in all treatment rooms across branches within scheduled timelines.
• Ensure all equipment complies with safety standards, operational protocols, and regulatory requirements.

Coordination & Administration

• Coordinate closely with the Operations Coordinator and Laser Head Unit regarding equipment status, repairs, and maintenance schedules.
• Inform the Operations Coordinator and Laser Head Unit in advance of annual leave requests to obtain primary approval.
• Support clinic operations by ensuring equipment readiness at all times.
