- ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for Senior Backend Developer to build and scale the core systems behind our gaming platform and live services.
This is a hands-on engineering role where you will design architecture, implement features, and work on systems that directly impact hundreds of thousands of users. You’ll be working across distributed systems, real-time data, and high-load environments — in close collaboration with frontend, game, and DevOps teams.

- Backend Engineer with Strong Fundamentals: You have solid experience building and maintaining scalable backend systems using Python and modern frameworks.

- RESPONSIBILITIES
- Backend Development: Design, build, and maintain scalable server-side applications using Python and FastAPI.
- Architecture & Systems Design: Contribute to system architecture, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability.
- Data & Storage: Design and optimise databases (SQL and NoSQL), ensuring efficiency and reliability.
- Integrations & APIs: Develop and maintain integrations with internal services, external APIs, and microservices.
- Observability & Reliability: Implement logging, monitoring, telemetry, and fault-tolerant systems (retries, error handling).
- Collaboration: Work closely with frontend, game, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Engineering Process: Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint planning.
- REQUIREMENTS
- 4+ years of backend development experience (Python).
- Strong experience with FastAPI or similar frameworks.
- Proficiency in at least one additional language (Go, Node.js/TypeScript, Java) is a plus.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, DynamoDB).
- Solid understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
- Experience with message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS).
- Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong understanding of RESTful API design.
- Experience working in high-load or real-time systems is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- English level: Upper-Intermediate (B2+) or higher.
